Weekly Wins – #5

We spent a quiet weekend at home chasing two very rambunctious 2-year-olds around the house (mainly inside because bless the heat). While getting house projects accomplished is darn near impossible these days, it doesn’t stop me from daydreaming about finishing touches for our bedroom and choosing peel-and-stick wallpaper for the downstairs powder room. I spent a little time during naps on Saturday googling away…

  1. After some back-and-forth on lighting options, I’m leaning heavily on the idea of sconces next to the mirror over the dresser. I’ve got my eye on this rattan console table and think it might be fun to do these sconces on the opposite wall to compliment?
  2. It’s the dead of summer and a million degrees outside but I can’t stop thinking about this soup recipe. I’ve added the necessary ingredients to my shopping list for the week. I will report back.
  3. I’m pleased to report I’m 14-ish hours into the 17 hours and 54 glorious minutes of “The Royal We” via audiobook. I read it a few years ago but was in a newborn fog, so I’ve happily re-binged it the last few days in preparation to dig into the just-released sequel. Welcome back Bex + Nick, I’ve missed y’all.
  4. This rainbow striped beauty arrived last week and I’ve already worn it twice. A gentle reminder that you can wear the headband/hat if you want to. Thanks for the push, Kate.
  5. Speaking of rainbow stripes, I’m pleased to report that I check to see if this dress is back in stock every single morning. I’m signed up for all the notifications and am starting to wonder if I can move up in the line if I bake Mimi cookies?

And finally, still not over Hamilton. I’m fascinated by all the BTS stories and details spilling out since the production went live last Friday. Care to weigh in on your thoughts on ‘the gasp‘?

xo,

KNW

  4. That soup looks amazing even in 100 degree NC weather. Also, I love all the different interpretations of the gasp – 4th wall, seeing Hamilton at the end of her life, seeing Heaven, seeing the orphanage (which still exists), seeing the legacy she created, etc.
