Remember when I had ‘put together my Christmas list’ on my to do list to share around the end of October? Yep. Me neither. Somehow it’s November 22nd and here we are, but at least we are finally here.
To be honest, putting together a list this year was unusually hard. I don’t really need much of anything and all I really want is to travel next year. So with that in mind, my wishlist is focused on things that I could use on a few upcoming trips in 2022.
I have added a few other fun things that have hung around on the wishlist on my phone (listen, please use the notes app or A-l-e-x-a for when an idea pops in your head for yourself of someone else. November you will be so glad that July you added that random idea to your running list).
- Away Suitcase – I’ve had my eye on this suitcase for a few years and it seems that everyone that I know that has one loves it. I have HIGH hopes for a few trips coming up in 2022 so I’m hoping to put it to good use. I’m a chronic over-packer, so I think the ‘bigger carry-on’ was made for me. I also SWEAR by packing cubes. Amazon had a ton of options but I haven’t found a set that matches my CalPak. (Taking suggestions and links if you have ones you love because KPW needs some. Ha.)
- Mini Portable Photo Printer – I love the idea of printing more photos of everyday life and think this little printer would be an ideal companion. The babies’ are getting their own rooms and will both get small cork boards. I’m thinking it will be extra fun to print some photos to pin up to help decorate their new separate spaces.
- T3 Air Brush Duo – Listen, I love the concept of the Revlon Hair Dryer Wand so much but it runs hot and my already color-treated couldn’t handle it. I saw K8_SmallThings demo the T3 a few weeks ago (it had been on my radar for a few weeks because I love my T3 wand/curling iron) and she sold me on it. Hoping I find this under the tree because I think it would be easy to pack in a suitcase and offer high return when needing to do my hair while traveling).
- Snow Boots – I know. I know. It doesn’t really snow in North Carolina but these feel like they could be worn the playground on a cold day and keep my feet warm (when wearing either jeans or leggings) and would be practical for the rain, snow or a trip to see a best friend who lives where it snows? I think what sold me on them is the ‘all day walkable’ appeal. Cute but practical?
- Dagne Dover Cross Body/Madewell Transport Shoulder/Cross Body – I’ve basically carried a backpack diaper bag for the last 4 years, short of a few nights out when I pull out a clutch. Now that the babies are in school and I am running around town, I need a bag that has a little more function. I’ve had my eye on both these bags for a while and they’re both on sale. The DD one has been out of stock for ages but is back and I may have sent KPW the link WHILE I was working on this post…Note: we recently replaced our diaper bag bookbag with the Dagne Dover in dune and I have loved it so far.
- GiGi New York Clutch – After not going out much for the last 20 months, I realized I could use a new clutch for both date nights or to throw in a suitcase for a trip. I have had this GiGi clutch on my wishlist for years.
- Passport Cover – But for real, I would like to travel and think my passport needs a cover. I went down a rabbit hole looking at options. This one is fancy but I love the shadow monogram. I love to subtle stamped monogram on this one. The practicality of this travel wallet has me all in. And then there is always Lilly...
- Souper Cubes – Given how much we love soup, these feel like a no brainer. I am pretty confident I could put them to good use nearly immediately with our beloved ‘creamy chicken lemon soup‘ AKA “THE Soup”.
- NMDs – Remember I have accidentally become a sneaker-head but have still not managed to get these into my closet.
- Athleta Giftcard – Listen, 2021 will be remembered as the year I fell hard and fast for Athleta. I give Simone Biles a lot of credit. She is their face, and I went into a store for the first time during the Summer Olympics. I bought this bra (and swear it’s the best sports bra I’ve ever worn) and two of these tanks. And these joggers and sweatshirt. I would love to grab a pair of running shorts or these running shoes. Hi, I am the unofficial, accidental Athleta Fan Club President
- Julie Vos Earrings – How many pearl earrings are too many pearl earrings? Because if I haven’t reached my limit, these beauties are on sale and I love them. I’m also a big fan of these gold studs and this blue bangle
- And finally, a few other trinkets that I’ve had my eye on (and would also make great sister/best friend/etc. gifts). These earrings + this monogrammed clear pouch + this silicone mat + this key chain + this belt bag + these socks + this travel jewelry case + these earrings.
After taking a peek at my Christmas list from last year, I stand by nearly every single wish (sub the DD bag above for the one I picked out last year ).
While definitely a pricier item, I would 10 out of 10 recommend my Bearaby Blanket (I’m currently snuggled under it as I work on this blog post) and my love of the nap dress was born last year when I unwrapped one from KPW.
The Bearaby and Nap Dress fall as top cozy gifts received in 2020 and my beloved Loft sweatsuit now comes in pink (and would look absolutely precious with an embroidered monogram at the collar).
Again, I need nothing but I do love a good gift (both giving and receiving) so here we are. Working on KPW’s list to share along with a few things the Babies’ every changing Christmas list (one word: YOTO PLAYER). Have other ideas on your list for this year or favorite things from years past? I’d love to hear in the comments below.
xo,
KNW
PS: Shutting this down by saying I 1000% don’t need a monogrammed handle wrap for my suitcase but if I won the lottery, in addition to weekly blowouts, I would immediately buy this CW x Barrington Gifts Handle Wrap.
PPS: TL;DR – my Christmas List from last year is full of other good ideas if you missed it (many of which now reside at my house)
